In a manner of speaking zeros and ones are our raw materials. Everything we develop for our clients is based on these two digital bytes. The internet itself is built around them. And, since this is the field where we excel, we decided to call ourselves zeros+ones.

Frankly speaking

Along with all the professional skills a good service provider should offer, we are especially proud of being straightforward with our clients. We don’t employ tactics and we don’t always say what the customer wants to hear. Instead, we deal openly and honestly with our clients, only this can ensure long-term success for both our clients and ourselves.

Some years ago, during the final presentation pitch phase with a major player on the German stock exchange, we were asked where we saw their brand three years down the road. ‚No idea’ we replied, as we were simply interested in providing a quality internet presence and had little knowledge about brand management. Nevertheless, because we could convince them not only with our design proposals and technology but also by our straight talking, we were awarded the contract. We subsequently acted on this experience by adding two brand management experts to our team.

One thing all our clients have in common: years of customer satisfaction using our products and services. This however, is only half the truth, as evermore newcomers have joined their ranks. They too have been persuaded by our performance and proven ability. Beyond that, our clients have little in common. Some are headquartered in Hamburg, Dusseldorf or Frankfurt; others are located here in Munich. Some are small businesses with a workforce of less than ten while others are global corporations employing thousands. One requires a tiny website, the other a large content management system for a corporate website, and that in many different languages. Digital delicatessen since 1994

In 1994 zeros + ones is founded as a partnership with Luca Capelletti, Torsten Green and Michael Teltscher. Alongside CD ROM projects and 3D architecture models, we built some of the first websites on the world wide web. Four years later zeros+ones GmbH(Ltd) was founded and Dietrich Hueck becomes the fourth member on the management team. Increasingly we provided content management systems, to allow clients with complex information services to independently manage their own website. Today, we have over fifty employees in our Marienstrasse office in Munich.

Fascinated by change

The internet is in a constant state of change. Nowadays, so much more is possible than in 1994 - the year we were established. Bandwidths have dramatically increased. Technical platforms now offer considerably higher performances than before. Together with these changes, the demands on corporate identity have grown accordingly, and so too our know how. What has changed most however, is the way the internet is used. For a great many companies, and indeed their prospective clients, the web has become the central medium of communication. Websites no longer play a secondary role in a typical advertising campaign; more often than not, they have become the leading medium for innovative offers and communication strategies. The decision whether to choose timeless elegance or optical avant garde, is made together with the client. We clarify the target audience and what the website should convey. By carefully incorporating the existing corporate identity together with a coordinated approval process we ensure that our client feels completely at home with their visual representation. Getting the most out of the web

Nowadays, Flash is much more than simply a platform for posting animated graphics on the web. With Actionscript 3, the latest Flash programming language, fascinating, interactive worlds can be created, breaking the barriers of hitherto functionality. Virtual Reality was a catchphrase from the nineties. Computer generated 3D worlds spell out the present. That which in those days was meant to depict reality is today a genuine alternative to conventional film, providing countless more possibilities than cameras or available backdrops ever could. Today we seldom carry out a major project without consulting our flash experts. Together, we push for innovative implementations, redefining and making former standards pale in comparison. And now, we have established a new team nicely fit, between both the areas of design and technology. A perfect example which proves, that not only can we change the internet but that the internet can also change us.
